Ashford Dyslexia Centre kicked off ‘Dyslexia Awareness Week’ (7th-13th October) with a Tea Party for pupils and their families.
All lessons at the Centre are 1:1 which means that our dyslexic pupils, who attend different primary and secondary schools in the local area, don’t have the opportunity to spend time together, so we celebrated dyslexia awareness through meeting one another, forming friendships, eating sandwiches and cakes and playing games together, whilst parents were able to meet one another and share their dyslexia stories.
The event really was a fun packed after-school party!
